Published on 07 October 2025
Thanks to the Play Well Funding from the Australian Sports Commission, Kingston Youth Services successfully delivered the Fair Play Project, helping more young people access community sport regardless of their financial circumstances.
Through a partnership with TeamSports4All, the project supported 139 young people aged 5 to 18 years, helping families cover the costs of joining local sporting clubs and getting involved in team activities across the City of Kingston.
The program focused on breaking down barriers to participation and ensuring all young people had the chance to get involved in team sport.
Soccer, basketball, cricket, and football were among the most popular sports young people registered and played through the program.
Overall, the Fair Play Project was a great success, with 139 young people supported to get involved in local sport through this funding initiative.
