Youth Art Expo 2025: Wrap up

The exhibition launch and prize-giving ceremony took place on Thursday 26 June, drawing a crowd of friends, families, and community members who gathered to celebrate creativity and youth expression.

Prizes were awarded to standout pieces, recognising artistic skill, originality, and meaningful interpretation of the theme.

The public exhibition ran from 26 June to 4 July, providing visitors with the opportunity to engage with powerful and diverse perspectives from emerging local artists.

The event not only highlighted the creativity of Kingston’s young people but also fostered connection and inclusion within the community.

  • 1st Prize: Willem Hayes, Fitting – In
  • 2nd Prize: Jodi Hard, Because of you, I bloom
  • 3rd Prize: Pheobe Popp, Cross Pollination

Highly Commended recognitions were awarded to:

  • Sienna McPherson, One day we’ll be thought of as more than a creature, but for now it's just us
  • Lois Bowerman, Spring
  • Jenna Siacola, Spark
  • Caitlin Keele, Good Book
  • Mia Sardellis, We’re all somebody to someone

Kingston Youth Services extend their warmest congratulations to all participants and thank the community for supporting young people’s voices through art.

The Youth Art Expo continues to be a platform for emerging artists to connect, reflect, and celebrate the power of creative expression.
