2025-2026 Junior Council grants
Published on 08 January 2026
Applications are now open for the 2025/26 Junior Council grants of up to $1,000 for programs, activities, projects, events or services supporting young people in care.
The annual grants are sponsored by the Chelsea Rotary and are open to any community groups, not for profit organisations and schools within the City of Kingston.
This year's grants, as outlined by the 2025/26 Junior Council, have a strong focus on 'giving young people the same opportunity to try new things', 'helping young people through hard times' and 'important for those who don't have family support'.
Applications must demonstrate that funding will directly support young people in care. Junior Council grants are sponsored by Chelsea Rotary with all applications being considered at a formal Junior Council meeting in February 2026.
Junior Council assessment criteria:
- Is the applicant eligible to apply for the grant?
- Does the proposed activity/event/project or service demonstrate that it clearly supports young people in care in the City of Kingston?
- Has the applicant demonstrated how the funds will be utilised in 2026?
